THE ACADEMY

Our staff is made up of highly educated teachers and administrators. We have well over half of our students at grade level in reading and mathematics. However, we push for a solid foundation over jumping ahead too quickly. Our individualized program ensures that each child truly masters one level before moving onto the next.

Beyond the degrees, certificates, and years of experience, many of our staff members are parents and grandparents of children in our school. We believe strongly in the need for families to engage in the lives and educations of their own children. Parents are invited to participate through volunteering, working at home, and planning the course of study for their child. We want to be part of the “village” that helps you to raise your child up in the ways that they should go.

Each day begins with a devotion and includes Bible classes and stories. While salvation is God’s alone to give to our children, we believe He asked us to raise them up to be servant leaders and through their vocation, be His hands and feet in this world. We teach the fruits of the Spirit: love, peace, joy patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control along side reading, writing, and arithmetic.

We believe that the best way to teach young minds is to spark the curiosity of the children and engage their natural desire and ability to learn. We have programs in music, ag, health, science, literature, languages, and the arts in the afternoons. Students don’t just read about how to garden, their actual labor has gone into The Orchard and the success of the orchard teaches and rewards them with the sweet fruits of their hard work.
